Mrs. Patsy Ann Casavant, 81, of Fairplay, died Friday, October 18, 2013, at Julia Manor Health Care Center, Hagerstown. She was the wife of Joseph Arthur Casavant, who preceded her in death August 16, 1995.
Born December 7, 1931, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late John Calvin May and Mildred Lucinda Burger May. She graduated Boonsboro High School.
Mrs. Casavant was employed with A&P/SuperFresh as a cashier and office clerk; and St. James School Dining Services.
She was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, where she served on the Altar Guild.
Patsy enjoyed volunteering with children in need.
Surviving is are her children, Cheryl A. Raby and husband Gene of Maugansville, Larry L. Yeatts and wife Penny, Albuquerque, NM, and W. Bryan Yeatts and wife Gay of Mercersburg, PA; her grandchildren, Nikki, Bradley, Chris, Laura, Andrew, Jed and Carrie; as well as five great grandchildren; and siblings Ronald E. May and Donna M. Miner, both of Boonsboro; an aunt & uncle; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, Hagerstown, is handling the arrangements. There will not be visiting or viewing at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 23, 12:00 PM, at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 17636 West Washington Street, Hagerstown with the Rev. Dr. D. Stuart Dunnan officiating.
