WAYNESBORO, Pa. — Local students and families celebrated Halloween early as Washington Township hosted Trunk or Treat events, bringing together local schools, police officers and emergency personnel.
The Washington Township Police Department joined other area first responders and community partners to host a Trunk or Treat at the police department grounds. The evening featured a sensory-friendly timeframe from 5:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. for pre-registered attendees, followed by general admission for the public until 8 p.m.
Students at Hooverville Elementary School participating in their school’s Trunk or Treat event were joined by Principal Dianne Eberhardt, who took part in the festivities alongside students.
