Timothy A. “Snapper” Meyers, age 63, of St. Thomas, PA, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2026, at the Chambersburg Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born June 8, 1963, in Chambersburg, PA, he was the son of Margie Thomas Meyers and the late Aden Sylvester Meyers.

Mr. Meyers was a graduate of James Buchanan High School. He went on to work at the former Grove Worldwide, L&S Stone, Hagerstown Clock Shop, Advance Auto, and Mason Dixon Auto Auction. He also ran sound equipment for country and bluegrass music events up and down the east coast. Tim and his family enjoyed antique engines and tractor clubs, and spent a lot of time with the CV Antique Engine Association. Tim loved collecting toys, and also hats and T-Shirts from across the country from bluegrass and country artists and other TV stars, many autographed. In his sound equipment work, he attended many bluegrass music festivals and rubbed shoulders with the stars and artists, many of whom he was known on a first name basis. He also had a unique relationship with Cooter, one of the stars of the Dukes of Hazzard TV show. Tim also loved old trains and locomotives, and recently he was able to see the Big Boy Locomotive and train as it passed through central PA. As his health deteriorated more and more, Tim enjoyed old TV shows and westerns, You Tube channels of towing companies, auctioneers, and anything related to old tractors and equipment. Tim was a very memorable individual. If you met him once, you would never forget him.

Tim is survived by his mother, Margie Thomas Meyers and numerous extended family members. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Juanita Meyers.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 1:30 PM at Shanks Church of the Brethren, 983 Shanks Church Rd., Greencastle, PA 17225. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 4-8 Pm in the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 45 S.
