CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — A vehicle chase in Chambersburg ended in a crash and the arrest of a 22-year-old man on a driving under the influence allegation early Sunday, police said.
Chambersburg police responded at about 3:30 a.m. Oct. 4 to the area of Poplar Avenue and West Vine Street for a crash after a chase ensued in the borough, according to police.
The driver, identified as Fermin Otoniel Juarez-Mendez, 22, was allegedly under the influence of alcohol and was taken into custody for DUI, police said.
Chambersburg Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene. No injuries requiring ambulance transport were reported.
Additional details about the chase, crash and potential charges were not immediately available.
A criminal charge is an accusation. Juarez-Mendez is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
