Mrs. Carolyn L. (Dull) Bumbaugh, 84, a resident of Quincy Village and formerly of Quincy, PA, passed away Friday, September 18, 2026, in the nursing home.
Born March 2, 1942 in Waynesboro, PA she was the daughter of the late Dorothy D. (Dull) Hammond. She was a lifelong resident of the Waynesboro area.
Mrs. Bumbaugh attended Waynesboro Schools and earned her GED in 1981.
She and her late husband, John L. Bumbaugh, were married on August 3, 1957, in Hagerstown, MD. They moved to Slabtown Road, Waynesboro in 1961. Mr. Bumbaugh passed away January 2, 2010.
Mrs. Bumbaugh was employed as a nurse’s aide at Quincy United Methodist Home for 17 years. She later worked at K-Mart in Waynesboro and Chambersburg for 14 years.
She was a member of Greenwood Assembly of God Church in Fayetteville, PA and also attended Five Forks Church, Waynesboro, for a number of years. Mrs. Bumbaugh enjoyed sewing and especially, spending time with her family.
She is survived by one daughter, Dotti A. Knaub of Chambersburg; two sons, Denny J. Bumbaugh and his wife, Lisa of Chambersburg and Dave L. Bumbaugh and his wife, Tina of Waynesboro; four grandchildren, Brittany “Peach” Bumbaugh, Craig D. Bumbaugh, Katie L. Wilmot, and Brock J. Bumbaugh; three great-grandchildren, Wells, Leo and Olivia; two siblings, Glennda Lowson of Mont Alto, and Kirk Hammond of Waynesboro, PA; and a number of nieces, nephews and close friends who visited.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Jonathan M. Knaub and Jana L. Knaub; two brothers, Alan Dull, Sr. and Brian Hammond; and her son-in-law, John Knaub.
Private services and burial in Mount Zion Cemetery, near Quincy, PA will be held at the convenience of the family.
