WAYNESBORO, Pa. — Main Street Park filled with live music, art and community support Sunday as the Arts Alliance of Greater Waynesboro’s Destination ARTS! hosted its annual JAMMIN’ in the Park Music & Arts Festival.
The Sept. 6 event brought seven area acts to two stages in downtown Waynesboro, with performances by BBD Trio, Ethan Larsh, Cameron Molloy & the Drivin’ Wheel, Tresa Day & Joel Newman, FATSO, Brad Munn and Kin Selection & Next of Kin. The program spanned retro blues, rock, country/Americana, jazz, bluegrass and popular cover music.
Festivalgoers also had opportunities to participate beyond the music, including live and silent auctions, 50/50 drawings and an interactive community painting project led by local artist Heidi O’Toole of Creekside Studio. Food trucks and craft beer from Rough Edges Brewing rounded out the afternoon’s offerings.
Proceeds from the festival benefit the nonprofit Arts Alliance of Greater Waynesboro and its Destination ARTS! programming, which supports local artists, musicians and arts opportunities in the community.
