GREENCASTLE, Pa. — Greencastle residents, public officials and first responders gathered Saturday for the Mayor’s 9/11 Walk of Unity, completing a 2,071-step route before a remembrance program at the Greencastle-Antrim Veterans Memorial. Mayor Ben Thomas Jr. led the observance, joined by state Rep. Chad Reichard (R-Franklin), Waynesboro Mayor Dade Royer and Mercersburg Mayor Dr. Michael Pedersen, as speakers reflected on those killed in the Sept. 11 attacks, recovery workers and the spirit of service that followed.
