HAGERSTOWN, Md. – Landon Smith scored two touchdowns for Tuscarora while the Titans’ defense shut out North Hagerstown for the first three quarters to get the season-opening win.
Smith caught a 12-yard touchdown pass from Landon Rosenberg in the first quarter and added a 7-yard scoring run in the second period to give the Titans a 14-0 halftime lead.
North scored on Ronnie Savage’s 5-yard run with 4:21 remaining to allow the Hubs to avoid the shutout.
Michael Stewart led the Hubs with 67 yards rushing while Colt Butts passed for 79 yards with two interceptions.
