FANNETT TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A driver died Tuesday after a vehicle left the Pennsylvania Turnpike and entered an embankment in Franklin County, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Troopers responded to the fatal crash near mile marker 196.5 in Fannett Township.
Police said the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and into an embankment. The cause of the crash was unknown Tuesday.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The Franklin County Coroner’s Office responded to investigate.
State police did not immediately release the driver’s identity or additional details about the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
