WAYNESBORO, Pa. — State Rep. Chad Reichard will partner with the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General to host a free anti-scam workshop Friday, Aug. 28, in Waynesboro.
The workshop will begin at 10 a.m. in the Hess Room at Quincy Village, 6596 Orphanage Road.
A representative from Attorney General Dave Sunday’s office will discuss emerging scams, tactics used by scammers and the growing use of artificial intelligence to target victims.
The presentation will explain how scammers seek to establish trust with potential victims and create a false sense of urgency. Attendees will learn how artificial intelligence can be used to make scams appear more convincing, as well as how to recognize warning signs and protect personal information and finances.
The workshop is free and open to the public.
