WAYNESBORO, Pa. — Waynesboro Area Senior High School welcomed families and young students to its annual Community Night on Aug. 21, giving attendees a chance to meet fall athletes and try a variety of sports activities.
Students participated in football throwing, soccer kicking, volleyball drills and golf swings alongside members of the school’s fall athletic teams. Cross-country athletes also led races and games for children during the event.
The evening included performances by the WASHS Marching Band, high school cheerleaders and Stallion Cheerleaders.
Community Night gave younger students an opportunity to connect with high school athletes, performers and coaches while celebrating the beginning of the fall sports season. The school’s annual event was promoted as a free family activity supporting student-athletes and the marching band.
