Angel L. Rodriguez, 88, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on August 7, 2026.
Angel Luis Rodriguez was born May 13, 1938, in Lares, Puerto Rico, to the late Eusebio Rodriguez and Graciana Soto Rodriguez. A man of unwavering faith, Angel dedicated his life to serving the Lord and his family with unconditional love.
Angel studied theology at Manhattan Bible Institute in New York and answered God’s call to ministry, serving as a Pentecostal Pastor for many years throughout the 1980s and 1990s. He ministered at several churches in New Jersey and Puerto Rico, bringing hope and spiritual guidance to all who knew him. Beyond his pastoral work, Angel devoted himself to missionary work and visiting the infirmed and children in hospitals, embodying the compassion and servant’s heart that defined his faith.
In his professional life, Angel worked in residential and commercial maintenance until his retirement in 2000, always taking pride in his work and the DIY projects he loved. Whether at home or in service to others, Angel’s steady hands and generous spirit were a blessing to those around him.
Angel’s greatest joys were spending time with his beloved family and enjoying time fishing. He was a devoted father and grandfather to his family, whom he cherished deeply.
He is survived by his three children: Edgar L. Rodriguez, Joel Rodriguez, and Damaryz Rodriguez; and six grandchildren: Edgardo, Abnel, Isaac, Adriana, Caleb, and Korbin. He was preceded in death by his wife of many years, Ada N. Rodriguez (1946-2008).
Services will be held Friday, August 14, 2026, at Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201. Visitation: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM; Service: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM; Graveside and Repass to follow.
