WAYNESBORO, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency has recommended that the U.S. Small Business Administration conduct damage assessments with residents and businesses affected by the July 28 flooding in the Borough of Waynesboro and Washington Township.
SBA representatives are scheduled to conduct assessments throughout the affected areas Wednesday, Aug. 12.
Also Wednesday, PEMA will open a Multi-Agency Resource Center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Waynesboro Ambulance Squad Inc. The center will provide information and assistance to residents and businesses impacted by the flooding.
Representatives from the Pennsylvania Insurance Department, Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, Franklin County Department of Human Services, Franklin County Veterans Affairs and the Borough of Waynesboro are expected to be available.
The resource center is intended to help affected individuals and businesses learn about available recovery resources and assistance following the flooding event.
Residents and business owners affected by the July 28 flooding are encouraged to attend.
