CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — The Greater Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Chambersburg Memorial YMCA, has announced the fifth annual Rally in the Valley Pickleball Tournament, taking place Friday, Oct. 16, and Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Chambersburg Memorial YMCA, 570 E. McKinley St.
The two-day tournament welcomes pickleball players ages 12 and older for a fun, competitive weekend while supporting the local business community and the YMCA.
Play begins on Friday, Oct. 16, with Mixed Doubles competition. Check-in and matches are expected to run from approximately 3:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. On Saturday, Oct. 17, Men’s and Women’s Doubles will take center court, with play scheduled from approximately 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., including check-in.
To provide the best possible experience for participants, divisions and brackets will be finalized after registration closes. Age and skill groupings will be determined based on registration numbers to create balanced, competitive match play.
Early bird registration is $40 per person through Sept. 16 and includes an event T-shirt and swag bag. Registration increases to $50 per person after Sept. 16. Participants registering after the early bird deadline are not guaranteed a T-shirt or SWAG bag.
The registration deadline is Tuesday, Oct. 6. No refunds will be issued after Oct. 6, although extenuating circumstances will be considered.
“Rally in the Valley has become one of our signature annual events, bringing together players from across the region while supporting our local community,” said Angela Schaeffer of the Greater Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce. “Whether you’re competing for the first time or returning for another year, it’s a great opportunity to enjoy friendly competition, meet fellow pickleball enthusiasts, and make a positive impact.”
Proceeds from the tournament support the Greater Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce, a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the local business community. A portion of the proceeds will also benefit the Chambersburg Memorial YMCA.
