Pet of the week is … Peanut!
This sweet boy unfortunately found himself in our care June 2026 after his owners were unable to keep him. Peanut is an incredibly sweet cat with so much love to give, although he can be a bit shy when meeting new people.
This sweet boy isn’t terribly picky with his food but does prefer soft wet foods! Peanut loves having his cheeks gently rubbed, enjoys head scratches and ear rubs, and is even happy being held by people he trusts!
We have not seen Peanut play very much here in our care, but we do think he would be willing to do so in a home once he gets comfortable. He enjoys spending most of his time snuggling up in a cozy, fluffy bed for a nap and is even happier if he can nap in your lap!
Peanut is good with other cats and has lived with them before. We have not seen him with dogs. He is OK with kids who are calm and gentle with him.
Peanut is 5 years old, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
