Miss Melanie R. Dingle, 70, of Blue Ridge Summit, PA, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2026, in Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA.
Born May 28, 1956, in Morgan Town, WV, she was the daughter of the late Ralph W. and Harriet M. (Leckey) Dingle.
Miss Dingle graduated from Smithsburg High School with the class of 1974.
She worked as a Correctional Officer at Victor Cullen Center, MD for a number of years.
She was a lover of sports, whether playing her favorite game of golf or watching tennis on TV.
She is survived by one brother, Michael Dingle and his wife Laurel of Waynesboro; her nieces and nephews, Justin Dingle, Christopher Pabon and his wife Elana, Nathaniel Pabon, Allyson Kalich, Nicole Smith, Marc Elder, Rachel Pabon, and Eric Elder; her great nieces and nephews, Camden, Carson, Callie, twins Harper & Aubrey, Argus, Maya, Jake and Jolene; and one sister-in-law, Becky Dingle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Melinda Pabon and one brother, Mark Dingle.
Services and burial in Bethel Cemetery, Cascade, MD, will be private and at the convenience of the family.
