GREENCASTLE, Pa. — Greencastle-Antrim School District is introducing a new version of its long-running virtual learning program.
The district said its virtual learning option has been in place for more than 20 years, but leaders recently decided it was time for a refresh. The updated program, called the Greencastle-Antrim Virtual Academy, or GAVA, is designed to reflect the district’s standards while offering the flexibility and personalization virtual families seek.
District officials described the new program as a modernized, state-of-the-art option for students who want a virtual learning environment. They said the goal is to better serve students and families seeking an alternative to traditional in-person instruction.
Families can learn more during upcoming open house opportunities. A virtual session is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 5, at 3 p.m., followed by an in-person event at 5 p.m. at Greencastle-Antrim High School.
