Mr. Edmond M. Reed, 80, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Monday, July 27, 2026, in his home.
Born December 14, 1945, in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late Edmon and Louella (Kauffman) Reed.
Mr. Reed graduated from Waynesboro Area Senior High with the Class of 1965.
He and his wife of 61 years, Mrs. Linda K. (Dagenhart) Reed were married July 24, 1965, at Fort Richie Chapel.
Mr. Reed worked for GIANT in several stores for 45 years. He retired in 2016. Following his retirement, he worked at Paul’s Country Market, Waynesboro, as a meat cutter.
He was a member of Family Life Worship Church, Zullinger, PA. An avid hunter, he also cherished spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Family was the center of his life, and he treasured every moment shared with those he loved.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children, Michael Reed of Mont Alto, PA, Stephen Reed of Waynesboro, PA, and Karen Mentzer of Mont Alto; four grandchildren, Eric, Sara, Melissa, and Jacob; four great-grandchildren, Addison, Gabriel, Eli, and Lucas; his siblings, John Reed and Pam Mitchell both of Waynesboro; 3 sisters-in-law’s; 2 brother-in-law’s; as well as an extended host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Monday, August 3, 2026, in Family Life Worship Center, 4750 Buchanan Trail E., Zullinger, PA with Pastor Darren Rowles officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M., until 7:00 P.M., Sunday evening in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, and again one hour prior to the services Monday morning in the church.
