Susan Marie Lundquist, née Hubbard, of Greencastle, Pennsylvania, passed away on July 21, 2026, in Greencastle at the age of 48. Born on July 27, 1977, in Baltimore, Maryland, Susan brought warmth, kindness, and a deep love for the people and animals around her throughout her life.
Susan graduated from Boonsboro High School in 1995, where she played tennis. She continued her education at Synergy Healing Arts Center and Massage School, graduating in 2002, and later earned her nursing license through Hagerstown Community College as an LPN in 2005. Through her work as a licensed massage therapist at the Chiropractic, Acupuncture and Massage Center of Hagerstown, Susan used her caring nature to help others feel comforted and supported.
Susan found joy in music, dancing, and attending concerts. She also loved the simple beauty of spending time outdoors and she had a tender heart for animals, caring lovingly for her own pets and often using her voice on social media to help animals in need find homes. Most of all, Susan cherished her husband Ryan and was a loving mother to their son Brayden. She always enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and those who knew her will remember the love, humor, and spirit she brought into their lives.
Susan will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by: her husband, Ryan Lundquist; her son, Brayden Lundquist; her mother-in-law, Kathy Lundquist; and her father-in-law, Tom Lundquist, of Greencastle, PA; her sister, Melissa Allen, and brother-in-law, David Allen; her niece, Caitlin Allen; her nephew, Josh Allen of Frederick, MD; her sister, Andrea Deane, and brother-in-law, Bernie Deane; her niece, Taylor Deane of Hagerstown, Maryland, her sister Angela Hubbard, and sister-in-law, Pat Vu, her nephews, Declan and Callum Hubbard of Altamonte Springs, Florida; her sister, Rachel Hanley, and brother-in-law, Shawn Hanley, her nephew, Lucas Hanley; her niece, Charlotte Hanley of Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania; her brother, GW Hubbard, and sister-in-law, Meagan Hubbard, of Martinsburg, West Virginia; and many other beloved family members and friends. Susan was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Sue Hubbard.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Lifehouse Church, 515 E. Wilson Blvd. Hagerstown, MD 21740 with Pastor Patrick Grach officiating. Interment will follow the service in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle, PA. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 27, 2026, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Harold M. Zimmerman & Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle Street, Greencastle, PA 17225 and one hour prior to service on Tuesday from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at the church.
In honor of Susan’s love for animals, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to animal rescue organizations and shelters that she supported, including the Humane Society of Washington County, Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, or Rescue Me WV.
