Marilynn E. "Marley" Walck, age 91, of Kennett Square, PA, and formerly of Greencastle, PA, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026, at the Chester County Hospital, West Chester, PA. Born in Hagerstown, MD, on April 17, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Clark E. and Alice Mentzer Elliott.
Marley owned and operated Walck's Beauty Salon on Carlisle Street in Greencastle, PA, during the beginning of her career, then completed over 30 years of service, as a secretary, with Grove Manufacturing in Shady Grove, PA. She was a member of Grace U.C.C. Church in Greencastle, PA, an active member with the Rescue Hose Co. #1, being a faithful participant volunteering with the Minstrel Show and the Firemen's Carnival, and a dedicated Class of 1953 GAHS Board Member. She loved Greencastle so much that if you didn't know where it was located, she would promptly inform you of what you were missing. She was an avid New York Yankees fan, which was another passion she announced to all. She loved the beach and family beach trips, cruising and traveling with friends, and all things family, Greencastle and the Yankees.
Surviving are two daughters, Pamela Landis (husband Elmer) of Greencastle, PA, Dana Rogers (husband Michael) of Kennett Square, PA, five grandchildren, Jamie Forrester, Kevin Landis, Justin and Patrick Rogers, and Michael Wright (wife Vanessa); one great grandson, Grayson Wright, and four Godchildren, Vicky Wade, Curt Kuykendall, Kathy Lundquist, and Marcy Buchanan. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Franklin L. “Bud” Walck who passed away in 2022 and a “special sister" Carla Wright.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle, PA 17225 with Pastor Gayle Ruble officiating. Interment will follow the service in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Quincy, PA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service on Saturday from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM.
