GREENCASTLE, Pa. — The Greencastle-Antrim Food Pantry will launch its 2026-27 fiscal year in July, requiring all participating family units to complete an annual registration process to continue receiving assistance.
Located at 57 W. Baltimore St., the pantry has outlined specific documentation that families must provide during the registration period. To receive donated food, households must supply proof of their current address.
For families seeking to receive a “State Box,” additional household details are mandatory. Applicants must provide the exact number of children, adults, and seniors living in the home, alongside an estimated total monthly income for every individual in the household. Returning participants are also asked to bring their old registration cards with them.
The pantry, which operates out of its West Baltimore Street location, will maintain its regular distribution schedule moving into the new fiscal year. Distribution hours are set for the first Thursday of every month from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., as well as the second and third Wednesdays of every month from 9 a.m. to noon.
In tandem with the registration drive, pantry organizers have released a specific list of high-priority food items needed for the month of July. The facility is requesting nonperishable goods, with a particular focus on pasta sauce in cans or plastic jars; rice, pasta, and potato mixes; baked beans; cereal; soups; canned fruit; applesauce; and canned vegetables.
Donation drop-offs are accepted on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.. Community members wishing to donate outside of these hours can schedule an appointment by contacting organizers via email at [email protected] or by calling 717-597-8333, extension 2.
