Mr. Gary W. McCallister, 75, of Waynesboro, PA passed away Friday, June 12, 2026, in his home.
Born October 21, 1950 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Lawrence and Mary (Theil) McCallister.
He and his wife of over 36 years, Shirley (Coady) McCallister, were married on May 12, 1990, in Emmittsburg, MD.
Gary worked as a plumber in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Pennsylvania. He retired on October 21, 2015.
He was a lifelong fan of the Washington Redskins and enjoyed bowling and playing pool.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Shane McCallister; two step-sons, Jerry Gates and Mike Gates (Kim), both of Waynesboro; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
