Mrs. Lois Jean (Sanders) Winebrenner, 88, of Waynesboro, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2026 in her home.
Born October 19, 1937 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Louise V. (Rickett) Sanders.
Mrs. Winebrenner was a graduate of Waynesboro High School.
She and her husband, the late Mr. James R. “Jim” Winebrenner, were married January 31, 1965. They shared over 50 years together when he passed away January 14, 2016.
Mrs. Winebrenner began her career as a switchboard operated for United Telephone Company and worked as a purchasing agent at Grove Manufacturing where she spent many years before retiring. After retirement, she and her husband operated an oversized load truck escort service which allowed them to travel extensively throughout the United States.
She is survived by three step-children, James D. Winebrenner and his wife, Linda of Waynesboro, Wendall J. Winebrenner and his wife, Tammey of Waynesboro and Donna J. Kriner and her husband, Bob of Chambersburg; four step-grandchildren, Carol Winebrenner, Josh Winebrenner, Clint Kriner and Kevin Kriner; and 11 step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
Arrangements are by Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro.
