Jerry Lee Higginbotham, Jr., 39, of Fairfield, PA, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2026 from injuries he received in a motor vehicle accident.
Born March 20, 1987 in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of Linda K. (Varner) Higginbotham of Fairfield and the late Jerry Lee Higginbotham, Sr. who passed away October 13, 2022.
Jerry was a graduate of Fairfield Area High School with the Class of 2005.
Working in construction for local businesses, he specialized in roofing. Jerry was a member of the Chalking Dead Pool League at Pete’s Tavern. He loved the outdoors, whether fishing or hiking and exploring new places and trails with his faithful four-legged companion, Iris.
In addition to his mother, Jerry leaves behind one daughter, and one son Hunter Lee Higginbotham; two sisters, Kelly Marie Bricker (Michael Burker) of Sharpsburg, MD and Nicole Lynn Emory and her husband, Chad of Fairfield; nieces and nephews, Tyler, Tucker, Trenton, Jennifer, Holly, Mathew and Justin; his beloved dog, Iris who misses him dearly; and a host of extended family and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, June 1, 2026 in Green Hill Cemetery, 953 S. Potomac Street, Waynesboro.
