HAGERSTOWN, Md. — Spring in Hagerstown means the festival line-up is in full swing! PorchFest is on its way back to Hagerstown with nearly 50 artists ready to take on Prospect Street. This event is set to feature a wide variety of musical performances ranging from rock, to bluegrass, country, jazz and so much more!
But that’s not all, you can spend the day at PorchFest with food trucks, a beer garden sponsored by Old Orchard Liquors, and dozens of vendors set to be found in Hagerstown’s historic district. Expect performances of all kinds, AJ’s Jazz Band, Volumetric, Paul Watson “Music for the Soul” and even Williamsport High School’s Jazz Band, are among the long lineup of musicians.
The concept of PorchFest can be traced back to 2007 in Ithaca, New York, with a music festival on the porches of historic homes in the area. As the idea spread, Hagerstown held its first PorchFest in 2013 on Prospect Street. The festival has held its place as an annual event in Hagerstown despite a hiatus during Covid-19 lockdowns.
Catch this event on Saturday, May 16th, from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Festivities will begin just up the hill from City Park, on 175 South Prospect St. in Hagerstown, stretching down the road and around town. Admission is free!
