Northbound Interstate 81 motorists in Franklin County can expect delays this week as maintenance crews conduct bridge repairs.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced that crews will perform bridge deck patching on the northbound spans over Route 16 and Route 30 from Monday through Thursday, May 4-7. Work is scheduled daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting.
Lane restrictions will be in place during those hours, and PennDOT officials said traffic is likely to slow, with delays expected throughout the work period.
Drivers are advised to allow extra travel time and remain alert when approaching the work zone. PennDOT reminded motorists to obey posted signs and exercise caution to ensure the safety of both drivers and road crews.
The maintenance is part of routine efforts to preserve roadway infrastructure and maintain safe travel conditions along the interstate.
