Mr. Michael L. Swisher, 57, of State College, PA passed away April 29, 2026, in the Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.
Born July 18, 1968 in Gettysburg, PA, he was the son of Shirley J. (Parson) Shank and the late Leonard Swisher. He moved to Waynesboro, PA with his family in 1971.
Mike graduated from Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the Class of 1986.
In his early life he worked at McDonald’s in Waynesboro and later Bonanza in Waynesboro and St. Line, MD. He later went on to work at Red Lobster in Chambersburg, PA and helped to open (and then work at) the Red Lobster in State College. He also worked at Otto’s and was last employed at The Scholar Hotel, both in State College.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one brother, Richard Emory; one sister, Cindy (Swisher) Shank; 4 nieces; 3 nephews; and many extended family members and friends.
Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
