Patricia Sophia Michalak, born on March 22, 1954, in Hamtramck, Michigan, passed away on April 21, 2026, in Blue Ridge Summit, Pennsylvania. She leaves behind her siblings, Karen Cummings, Keith Michalak, and Wayne Michalak.
A dedicated agriculture consultant with the USDA, Patricia held a Master’s Degree and was deeply passionate about agricultural practices. Her expertise in agricultural animal husbandry was complemented by her love for organic gardening, evidenced by her authorship of three published books on the subject. Patricia’s contributions to the field of agriculture were marked by her commitment to sustainable practices and her desire to educate others.
In addition to her professional pursuits, Patricia was an enthusiastic dog obedience and search and rescue trainer. She spent countless hours working with dogs, fostering a strong bond with them and contributing to their training and well-being. Beyond her work with animals, she had a deep appreciation for nature, often retreating to the Michaux Forest, where she found solace and inspiration. Patricia was also an avid photographer, capturing the beauty of her surroundings through her lens.
