CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – The Franklin County Career and Technology Center’s “Teens & Greens” retail greenhouse is reopening for the season on Monday, April 13.
Students in the school’s Landscaping and Horticulture program will operate the greenhouse, which will be open Mondays through Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Shoppers can browse flowers, garden vegetables, fruit plants and other supplies while supporting the hands-on learning experiences of local students. This season, shoppers will also notice an upgrade — the students are implementing an electronic point-of-sale system as part of their classroom training.
“Education and learning are our first business after all,” staff members noted in their announcement. “Let’s grow something together.”
The greenhouse is located at 3015 Molly Pitcher Highway in Chambersburg.
