Mr. Jay L. Kershner, 69, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2026, in his home.
Born October 9, 1956, in Waynesboro, he is the son of Frances M. (Welsh) and the late Charles C. Kershner Jr.
Mr. Kershner worked as a machinist for York Saw & Knife Company, York, PA, for a number of years.
He had a love for horror movies and could always be counted on to recommend a good one to friends and family. Known for a great sense of humor, he was a natural jokester who loved to make others laugh. He enjoyed telling stories and reminiscing with friends and family. Above all, he was a kind soul with a good heart and cared deeply for his friends and family.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his siblings, Jeff Kershner and his wife Cindy of Hagerstown, MD, Regina Harbaugh and Rose Wible, both of Waynesboro, and many nieces & nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jery Kershner.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
