Sponsored nationally by Peanuts and Gatorade, Healthy Kids Day’s mission is to prepare families for a safe, healthy and fun summer. Some featured activities happening on April 24 include obstacle courses, crafts, STEM activities, story time with the Franklin County Library System, among 30 community vendors featuring non-profit organizations and local resources to benefit families in our area.

Healthy Kids Day is a fun, free communitywide event that encourages families to take advantage of all the great programming the Y has to offer. In honor of its 175th anniversary in the United States, YMCAs nationwide are expanding their commitment to nurturing healthy, confident kids through their annual Healthy Kids Day celebration.
Healthy Kids Day reflects the Y’s long-standing mission of strengthening communities and helping youth reach their full potential, a mission that has guided the organization for 175 years and continues to shape its work today. The Chambersburg Memorial YMCA has been serving the Chambersburg Area community for 70 years.
This year’s celebration will also include an Open House for visitors to explore the Chambersburg Y, meet staff and learn about membership and upcoming programs. Special discounts will be available exclusively on April 24th for new members who sign up during the day, including having the $30 association fee waived. Current members who refer a friend to join will receive 20% off their membership, and their referred friend will receive the same discount.
Healthy Kids Day® continues the YMCA’s mission to promote family wellness, community connection and healthy living for all.
