WAYNESBORO, Pa. — More than 120 children hopped along Main Street on Friday evening for the Boro Bunny Hop, a festive Easter event organized by Mainstreet Waynesboro, Inc.
The event, held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. April 3, welcomed kids ages 13 and under. Participants brought their own baskets to collect Easter eggs from participating downtown businesses and searched for hidden eggs along Main Street. A highlight was the golden egg hunt: Children who found a golden egg with a paper slip inside took it to 66 West Main St. to claim a prize.
Children also had the opportunity to pose for photos with the Easter Bunny at Main Street Park.
Participating businesses included: Zoe’s Chocolates, 42 West Arts Co-Op, Gallery 50, For the Love of Dogs LLC, Morningstar: A Perfect Gift, Bathe, Whisky Willow Boutique, Vibrantly Wild, JB Technical Solutions, The Crispy Biscuit, The Vintage Flame, Focused Action Yoga, The Candy Kitchen and Wee Scot Book Shoppe.
Bright Ideas Bakery donated cake pops as an in-kind sponsor. Iron Valley Real Estate of Waynesboro served as the lead sponsor.
The family-friendly event aimed to bring the community together in downtown Waynesboro while supporting local businesses.
