Mrs. April L. (Smith) Stoops, 61, of Waynesboro, PA passed away Friday, April 3, 2026, in her home.
Born October 14, 1964 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Galen A. Smith, Sr. and Rachel L. (Alexander) Smith.
April was a graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School and worked at TAB Books in Blue Ridge Summit, PA for many years.
She enjoyed going to the ocean.
April is survived by her fiancé, Dale L. Stoops; three children, Elizabeth Sweeny of Chambersburg, PA, John Stoops of Waynesboro and George Stoops of Waynesboro; six grandchildren; one brother, Galen A. “Junior” Smith, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Robert G. Stoops on October 19, 2016; and one brother, Keith F. “Smitty” Smith.
Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
