BOONSBORO, Md. – Zach Linn scored four goals and added three assists while goalkeeper Dante Rucci made 10 saves on Thursday to lead the Smithsburg boys lacrosse team to a 10-6 win over Boonsboro.
Marquis Weakfall helped spark the Leopards’ offense by winning 12 of 16 faceoffs. He also scored a goal.
Kaden Dietrich fired in three goals for Smithsburg while Nick Roncone added two. Kyle Kretsinger provided six assists.

HAGERSTOWN, Md. – Sadi Morton scored five goals but the Hubs fell short in a defensive struggle against Brunswick.
Sophie Lobley scored twice and Delaney Fuss added a goal for North. Emma Ontiveros made six saves in goal for the Hubs.

Catoctin 17, South Hagerstown 0
THURMONT, Md. – South Hagerstown’s offense sputtered on Thursday as the Rebels were shutout on two hits against Catoctin.
The Cougars ended the game in 4 ½ innings by scoring all their runs in the first four innings, including eight in the second to take a 12-0 lead. Catoctin had only eight hits but walked 13 times.
Elana Runfola and Ja’Seri Chapman each had a hit for South (2-4).
