WAYNESBORO, Pa.- The Waynesboro Area Historical Society is welcoming community volunteers to take part in its Annual Spring Cleaning Day at the Oller House on Saturday, April 11, from 9 to 11 a.m.
The annual event offers residents an opportunity to help care for one of the community’s cherished historical landmarks. Volunteers will focus on light cleaning and organizing tasks to prepare the house for the upcoming visitor season.
No special experience is required, only a willingness to help preserve local history. Cleaning supplies will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own basic materials if possible.
According to organizers, the cleanup day is an important part of maintaining the Oller House’s welcoming atmosphere and ensuring it remains a source of pride in the community. Volunteers are welcome to participate for the full two hours or stop by for a shorter time.
“The Oller House is a living piece of history, and it takes many helping hands to keep it that way,” a society representative said. “We’re grateful for everyone who contributes time and care each year.”
The historical society emphasizes that every effort, no matter the size, helps preserve the integrity of the beloved home and supports its mission to celebrate the area’s heritage.
