S. Hagerstown boys win 13-5 over Jemicy in lacrosse, Shepherd baseball, H.S. score correction

HAGERSTOWN, Md. – Vincent Minardi scored four goals to lead South Hagerstown’s boys lacrosse team to a 13-5 win over Jemicy School on Tuesday. 

COLLEGE BASEBALL 

Shepherd 10, Seton Hill 4 

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va.– Ethan Burgreen and Colin Ahart had two hits each to lead Shepherd University to a victory on Tuesday over No. 21-ranked Seton Hill. 

Seton Hill (21-6) took a 2-0 lead in the first inning highlighted by a solo home run from Owen Henne. 

The Rams (17-12) answered with four runs in the bottom of the inning a 4-2 with a two-run single from Ahart igniting the rally. 

Shepherd took a 5-2 lead in the second on a sacrifice fly from infielder Ryan Fluharty.  

The Rams tacked on three runs in the fifth to take an 8-2 lead as Burgreen hit a two-run single.  

After the Griffins scored one in the sixth, they added another in the seventh on a solo shot from Gage Wheaton.  

Shepherd added a pair of runs in the eighth to cap the scoring, using an RBI double from Nik Rubendall and an RBI single from Wyatt Lamb. 

Devin Mattei picked up the win with one inning of work to move to 3-1.   

HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL 

SCORING UPDATE 

After a review of game film, two stat lines have been corrected in South Hagerstown’s 5-4 loss in Monday to North Hagerstown. 

Raelee Fry finished was awarded a second hit in the game as North Hagerstown error was overturned. 

Another overturned error gave Kenley Barnhart had a hit, because she would have beat out the hit without the errant throw.
