Mr. Timothy S. “Tim” “Scott” Rice, 28, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, March 29, 2026, in Frederick, MD, due to injuries he sustained as a result of a motor vehicle accident.
Born April 23, 1997, in St. Petersburg, FL, he is the son of Stephen Kyle and Christina (Womack) Gatton.
Tim graduated from Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the class of 2015.
He was currently employed as a truck driver with D.L George & Sons, Waynesboro.
Tim was a devoted family man and a hardworking provider who took pride in caring for those he loved. In his free time, he enjoyed playing video games and found joy in life’s simple pleasures, like a good slice of pizza or peanut butter – things that always brought a smile to his face.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving fiancé, Kaitlyn Claggett of Waynesboro; his beloved son, Grayson Rice; and three siblings, Cody Gatton, Khole Gatton, both of Puerto Rico, and Angelica Smith of FL.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
