CASCADE, Md. — The spirit of spring filled the gyms at Fort Ritchie on Saturday, March 28, as hundreds of shoppers browsed aisles at the annual Fort Ritchie Spring Craft Bazaar.
More than 60 vendors showcased their creations across the large and small gyms and an additional room, offering a wide range of handmade and locally crafted goods. Tables were filled with items such as wood carvings, crocheted stuffed animals, hand-painted flower pots, baskets for Easter, and custom jewelry pieces.
Food vendors added to the festive atmosphere, including a baker selling peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies along with other pastries, and another offering homemade popcorn. One exhibitor demonstrated a 3D printer creating toy designs, drawing interest from both children and adults.
Businesses such as Clockwise Team Traders and Sparkle & Soul Diamond Creations joined numerous independent artisans to present unique gifts and décor. The event drew steady foot traffic from the morning through midafternoon, with families, collectors, and casual shoppers alike exploring the variety of goods available.
