CHAMBERSBURG, Pa- Letterkenny Army Depot, in coordination with local law enforcement and emergency services, has finalized the escort route for the funeral procession of Specialist Krystofer Lopez, an 18-year-old soldier who died following a training incident at the depot on March 12.
The public is invited to line the route and pay their respects as the procession makes its way from Shippensburg to Biglerville on Saturday, March 28.
The escort will depart from Dugan Funeral Home in Shippensburg between 6:30 and 7 a.m. The route will proceed along Route 11 South into Chambersburg, continue east on Route 30 through Gettysburg, then travel north on Route 15 to the Heidlersburg exit before concluding at Biglerville High School.
All services will be held at Biglerville High School, 161 N. Main St., Biglerville. The public viewing will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 1 p.m. Both events are open to the community.
