“Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble” Job 14:1 kjv
Highlighting the fragility, mortality, and fleeting nature of human life. It suggests life is transient like a flower or shadow, marked by struggles, and serves as a reminder to make the most of limited time.
Adolphus Fisher was born in the city of Jacksonville, Florida, and was preceded in death by his father, Frank Fisher; Mother, Rosa Lee (Hall) Woody; brother, Yasid; brother, Sylvester; and sister, Linda. He leaves to cherish his sister, Vera; brother, Kublai; his sister, Adilah; brother, Matthew; son, Alexus; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Adolphus’s younger days were active and engaging. He enjoyed the outdoors; boxing was his passion along with bike riding. I recall a resent memory of him gazing up at the heavens enjoying all of God’s glory. Seldom do we as living people take the time to take in the beauty that is all around us. God’s glory is everywhere.
Stop putting all the Emphasis on the 401k and the bank accounts and engage in the below scripture and ask is your house in order?
The Bible asks, “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?” (Mark 8:36). We are made in the image of God, and our soul is worth more than the whole earth. Our soul will live forever in one of two places-heaven or hell. God loves us and sent His Son to this earth to die on the cross for our sins, and if we will repent of our sins and accept Him into our hearts by faith, He will forgive us and we will spend eternity with Him in heaven. I’m thankful for those who chose heaven over hell this evening, put their trust in Jesus Christ, and made sure that their souls are secure at the hands of God for eternity.
