Expo connects residents with holistic wellness

WAYNESBORO, Pa. – Your Wellness Connection: A Community Health Expo will bring dozens of holistic health practitioners, wellness providers and community partners to the Waynesboro Area YMCA on March 28 for a free day of education and hands-on activities focused on mind-body wellness.

The expo will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 28, at the YMCA and is open to everyone in the community. Attendees can explore interactive demonstrations, connect with local holistic practitioners and services and enter wellness-themed raffles and giveaways while sampling health-forward food truck options. Organizers say the event is designed to offer tools, resources and inspiration for whole-person health in one accessible setting.

Local holistic providers will showcase services such as massage, nutrition, acupuncture, energy work and coaching, many with interactive demonstrations so visitors can see techniques in action. About 30 practitioners, business owners and alternative providers will lead mini breakout sessions throughout the day, giving guests opportunities to learn about specialized topics in short, focused presentations.

The schedule features two breakout tracks, one in the Community Room and one in the gym breakout area, each running in 20-minute segments. In the Community Room, the day begins at 10 a.m. with Awake Spa owner Tiffany Shindledecker presenting “The Missing Pieces of Wellness Your Blood Tests Don’t Show,” followed at 10:20 a.m. by Brenda from Burns Valley Herbals & Retreat with “Boost Your Health with Herbs.” At 10:40 a.m., Cheryl Hade, RN, BSN, from Norland Ave Pharmacy, will discuss “Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy & Its Benefits,” and at 11 a.m., Josh Hull, CRNP, of Virtus Men’s Health will present “Men’s Hormones & Optimization.”
