Residents are invited to lace up their walking shoes and celebrate National Walking Day with the Grove Family Library this April.
The library is hosting weekly community walks each Wednesday throughout the month—April 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29—beginning at 2 p.m. Walkers will meet at Norlo Park’s upper parking lot by Quincy Station.
Sponsored by the American Heart Association, National Walking Day encourages individuals of all ages to get moving and improve their heart health. Healthy Franklin County and the Grove Family Library are teaming up to promote physical activity and wellness through this community event.
Participants are encouraged to bring a friend and enjoy a stroll through the park’s scenic trails. The event is open to all ages and fitness levels, offering a relaxed and social way to embrace spring while boosting overall health.
“Walking is one of the easiest and most enjoyable ways to stay active,” organizers noted. “We hope this event inspires residents to make walking part of their weekly routine.”
