Kevin Lynn Helman

Kevin Lynn Helman, 64, of Chambersburg, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at home. He was born November 7, 1961, in Chambersburg, PA, the son of the late R. Jean Ditzler and Randall Helman. A 1979 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School, he worked at New Enterprise retiring in 2025, after 45 years. Kevin could often be found in his garage working on his cars, or at Mason Dixon Dragway or South Mountain Speedway racing. His most exciting race took place at the South Mountain Speedway, where he won a Wally. He looked forward to the annual family trip to Pigeon Forge, and he also loved heading to Ocean City for Endless Summer Cruisin’, often bringing his car along to show off and enjoy the rides. Kevin was a devoted husband, stepfather, grandfather, and friend. Surviving is his wife of 19 years, Donna (Zeek) Helman, step-daughters: Jessica (Travis) Gearhart, Brandi (Richard) Albrecht, grandchildren: Kelby (Destiny)Gearhart, Hailey Rhone (Zack Davies), Abigail Gearhart (Angel Gonzalez), Brystol Gearhart, and Raegan Albrecht and great-grandchildren Ava, Blake, Cami, Madelynn and brothers: Rodney (Shawn) Helman, Pete Helman, Jason (Gina) Helman and his beloved pets Cooper and Binx. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his step-father, Kenneth Ditzler Sr. The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March5, 2026 at Sellers Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Rebok officiating. There will be a visitation from 11:00 – 1:00 prior to the service. Interment will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens.
