WAYNESBORO— More than 150 residents gathered on Main Street Saturday for the annual Snowman Sip & Stroll, enjoying a brief window of spring-like conditions before a winter storm returned to the region.
Bill Kohler, executive director of Main Street Waynesboro Inc., expressed satisfaction with the turnout and the unseasonably warm weather. Temperatures reached the low 50s under sunny skies, providing a stark contrast to the heavy snow that arrived in the borough just 24 hours later.
The event featured a diverse lineup of regional breweries, wineries, and distilleries stationed inside local boutiques and businesses. The route allowed participants to explore the downtown corridor while sampling craft beverages.
Beverage highlights included Gearhouse Brewing at Whisky Willow Boutique, Aldus Brewing at Bathe, and Adams County Winery at James Shoes. Other notable stops included:
- Michaux Brewing Co. at 42 West Arts
- Cold Spring Hollow Distillery at For the Love of Dogs
- Pathfinder Farm Distillery at Mason Dixon Creations
- Fat Bat Brewing at the Main Street Park
The stroll extended beyond the main thoroughfare, featuring J Matt Brewing at Country Roots & Boots on Walnut Street and Triggers Table & Taproom. For those seeking seasonal flavors, JB Technical Solutions offered spiked hot cocoa, while The Vintage Flame served “Jack Frost” Jell-O shots.
The event served as a collaborative effort to drive foot traffic to downtown retailers, including 1884 Market House and JB Technical Solutions, while showcasing the region’s growing craft beverage industry.
