Timothy Lee Messner (T.L.), age 63, born on March 30, 1962, of Greencastle, PA , died on February 16, 2026, at home surrounded by his family. Tim was a master carpenter and owned his own construction company "Messner Construction" For many years serving the PA, MD, WV, and VA areas. Many of the structures he built, remodeled, and repaired are still standing today; a reminder of the craftsmanship and quality work he provided to the community. Tim also worked for Stanley Manufacturing Co. in Chambersburg, PA, in his early adulthood and the Loewengart Tannery in Mercersburg, PA, until moving to Whitehall, VA. Where he worked for Westinghouse as a master welder and foreman where he welded elevator shafts and installed commercial elevators until returning to PA when he later started Messner construction in his 30’s. He was a loving husband, Dedicated father and an amazing grandfather to his grandchildren. This loss is an unforgettable loss to all and he will be greatly missed. He survived by his wife Katina L. Messner (Burkett); son, Timothy K. Messner and fiancé, Tina R. Dean; daughter, Tammy S Messner and husband, Galen R.Steele; daughter, Tori D. Messner; stepchildren: Wilson E. Stevens III, Cory L. Sites, Amber M. Sites, Jason E. Sites, Joshua L. Sites, Joel R. Sites; grandchildren: Kalob D. Messner, Adlyn E. Messner, Audrey K. Messner, Tommy K. Messner, Brendan L. Messner, Camden W. Steele, Caliber C. L. Mills, Sadie R. Mills, Rhiannon M. Warren, Albert J. Warren, Reid S. Whitt and Jaelynn L. Sites; three Boston terriers he adored greatly Marlee, Mickey and Maddy along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley D. Bentz (Robinson) of Mercersburg, PA; father, Paul W. Messner of Hedgesville, WV; stepfather, whom he loved dearly, Charles W. Bentz " Bill" of Mercersburg,PA; maternal grandmother, Beulah M. Robinson (Starliper); maternal grandfather, Roy C. Robinson of Mercersburg, PA; sister, Tina A. Messner (Golden) of Saint Thomas, PA; sister, Tonya P. Messner (Pittman); stepdaughter, Heather C. Warren (Stevens); and son-in-law, Albert B. Warren, both of Fayetteville, PA, along with their son, Tristan A.Warren. Services will be at Sellers Funeral Home from 7 -8 PM on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, with Pastor Jason Smith officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service.
