David “Adam” Donald Hinkle, 44, of Hagerstown, passed away on Monday, January 5th ,2026 at his home. He was a local businessman and entrepreneur.
Born March 16, 1981, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Jim Wayne and Pamela J Landers Hinkle.
He attended South Hagerstown High School, until his family moved to Tennessee in 1997. He attended and graduated from Richland High School, Lynnville, Tennessee, in 1999.
Adam returned to Hagerstown in 2000, searching for a self-employed business he could begin. In 2008 he purchased his first truck and started Hinkle’s Exterior Cleaning. He also attained his CDL and did some long-haul trucking, with his focus being his cleaning service.
Adam had a collection of cars and trucks, as well as other “toys”.
Adam is survived by his loving family, siblings Jimmy and Phillip Hinkle and Matthew Hinkle and wife Emily, and Amanda and Alicia Hinkle; his cat Cyclone, that he loved very much; and by many aunts and cousins; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he preceded in death by his nephew, Trey Hinkle, whom he loved like a son and who helped him in his business.
The Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 East Antietam Street, Hagerstown, is assisting Adam’s family with local arrangements. A visitation to celebrate Adam’s and his father’s, Jim Hinkle’s life will be held at the funeral home on February 26, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
The omission of flowers is requested. Memorial contributions in Adam’s name may be made to the charity of one’s choosing.
