This week in Franklin County, Pennsylvania, and Washington County, Maryland, several theater groups are preparing to entertain audiences.
The Chambersburg Capitol Theatre has upcoming shows that include “August: Osage County” from today, Feb. 20, through Sunday.
The Totem Pole Playhouse in Fayetteville is enrolling spring and summer classes. Next show: “The Jersey Beach Boys,” opening in April.
The Burgin Center for the Arts at Mercersburg Academy will be featuring the Winter Music Concert on Saturday, Feb. 21.
Upcoming Shows at the historic Star Theatre in Mercersburg include “No Greater Love” which will be showing in March.
From Feb. 27 to March 8 “Whodunnit… the Musical” by Ed Dixon will be showing at the Potomac Playmakers.
Through March 8, “Disney’s Frozen: The Musical” will be in production at the Washington County Playhouse Dinner Theater.
The Maryland Youth Symphony Orchestra is now accepting applicants for the Spring 2026 cycle. The Maryland Symphony Orchestra is also holding a Lunch and Learn: Debussy, Beach and Sibelius on Feb. 25.
The Waynesboro Area Senior High School will present the Waynesboro Indoor Percussion & Color Guard Show on Sunday, Feb. 22. Additionally, the district will host the Annual Waynesboro Area School District Music in Our Schools Concert on Feb. 27. Finally, the schools will be hosting “The Addams Family: School Edition” from March 13 to the 15.
