Chalmer L. Hann, age 86, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away at the Shook Home on Monday, February 9, 2025. Born December 18, 1939, in Websters Mills, PA, he was the son of the late Rush David and Ida A. Kuhn Hann.
Mr. Hann grew up in Ravensburg, PA. After graduating Lynchburg Bible College, he served in Pastoral and Chaplaincy roles at the Chambersburg Hospital and the former Falling Spring Nursing Home, both in Chambersburg. Mr. Hann worked at Grove, Schwans’ and lastly Corning Glass, where he retired in 2003. After retirement, he drove school bus for Tuscarora School District. He was a skilled woodworker and had a passion for the outdoors, hunting, and visiting Tennessee.
Surviving is his wife of 63 years, Lois E. Brandt Hann whom he married on July 21, 1962, four children, Rhonda S. Cordell (husband Jim) of St. Thomas, PA, Glenda K. Baublitz (husband Bill) of Newville, PA, Michelle R. Myers (husband Gary) of Greencastle, PA, and David E. Hann (wife Karen) of Shippensburg, Pa; 14 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 10 siblings.
