CHAMBERSBURG – The Franklin County Historical Society – Kittochtinny will host a Revolutionary Era Trivia Night on Sunday, Feb. 22, as part of local celebrations marking America’s 250th anniversary.
Society officials say the event aims to combine local history with community engagement as the nation approaches its 250th anniversary.
The event, held in collaboration with The Barrel House, will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Barrel House in Chambersburg. Trivia competition will run from 2 to 4 p.m.
Organizers say teams may include two to 10 participants. Attendees must be at least 16 years old to participate in trivia and 21 or older to purchase alcoholic beverages.
Food will be provided by Chef John and drinks will be available for purchase through the Barrel House. The Barrel House is sponsoring the event, with prizes provided by America250 and the Franklin County 11/30 Visitors Center.
The Historical Society is headquartered at the Old Jail on King Street in downtown Chambersburg. In addition to hosting public programs and events, the organization offers tours of the Old Jail and the John Brown House Museums, along with access to its Franklin County Genealogy Library.
