WAYNESBORO—Gallery 50 hosts an opening reception for a new art exhibition, “Faces and Places” on Friday, February 6 from 5:30–8 p.m. at 50 West Main Street in downtown Waynesboro. The evening will showcase the new artwork and include free refreshments in addition to live music from Reckless Mo & the Backseat Drivers in the adjacent Music Makers space.
The 10 featured area artists are Joan Carroll, Jonathan Frazier, Paul Gallo, Katrina Hoopes, Eric Hyne, Penny Knobel-Besa, Melissa Libertini, Laurie McKelvie, Paula Saneaux, and Steve Wetzel.
The paintings and photography of “Faces and Places” showcase people, animals, and landscapes across a variety of styles and mediums, including oil, colored pencil, acrylic, pastel, and more.
The gallery will also have new fine art and crafts by local artists available on the shelves: pottery, wood carvings, jewelry, stained glass art, and books.
Following the reception, the exhibit will be on display through April 18, 2026. Gallery 50 is open Fridays from 5–8 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. The exhibit will soon be available to browse and purchase on the gallery’s online shop at www.gallery50-aagw.square.site
Gallery 50 is owned and operated by the Arts Alliance of Greater Waynesboro and spotlights fine art and high-quality crafts from local artists and artisans.
